Was a site specific work commisioned by the chief curator of “I Am a Curator”, Chisenhale Gallery, London. The exhibition was an attempt to subvert the traditional power relations between Curator – gallery staff – audience, by offering the audience curatorial power. The piece attempted to intervene in the social relations as they are played out during a visit to the gallery, in order to facilitate the empowerment of the visiting guests.
In order to achieve this goal, Morten Goll commissioned the Danish set designer, Susanne Gyth, to design a poncho to be introduced as staff uniform. Furthermore Joachim Hamou and Morten Goll produced the video.
The video is a step-by-step walk through of some basic communication principles, which we suggest necessary in order to meet the goals as defined by the curator of the show.
